At Parkhurst, we believe that ongoing training and culinary education is essential to the success of our dining operations. Both hourly and management associates attend quarterly classes that strengthens their service, culinary and management skills. We drive and foster innovation by providing our chefs with benchmarking opportunities, idea sharing and networking sessions, as well as a forum for them to feature their culinary expertise. Our people also learn the latest industry trends, techniques and best practices that empower them to be the very best in the industry.

Parkhurst's training practices were recently honored with the 2010 "People Do Matter Award". Presented by the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association, “People Do Matter Awards” recognizes regional employers that are implementing exceptional people practices. Parkhurst received their award in the “Learning and Development” category for the Supervisor Certification Program, a leadership experience that has graduated over 200 hourly associates.
