Learn why students will state that a deciding factor on where to enroll was not only knowing Parkhurst was offered, but also that it gave cause for them to question the dining programs at other institutions.
Parkhurst understands that the transition to college means plenty of new additions and changes to our students’ lives. We have an important influence over our students’ eating habits and health. That’s why we are focused on serving an abundance of healthy, natural and prepared-from scratch food that is reminiscent (and sometimes better) than home.
The preparation of farm-fresh food is a Parkhurst Gold Standard. Through FarmSourceTM, we strive to purchase more than 20 percent of our food from some of the finest local and family-owned farms that grow the highest-quality fruits and vegetables.
Personalized dining is also a Gold Standard on how we serve our guests. Our friendly, caring and knowledgeable team members make it a point to know you, engaging students, faculty and other guests.
Greening our dining operations is also important to the sustainable movement on today’s college campuses. In addition to purchasing food from local farms, we will grow our own food and work with student organizations to promote sustainability on campus through special events and activities. Other eco-friendly changes include the development of renewable energy sources from our spent fryer oil. Where possible, we have also developed onsite composting programs, implemented trayless dining and switched to biodegradable service ware.
Students may select from several meal plans offered by our residential dining program. A variety of fresh food options are also available through our retail operations such as late-night eateries, branded restaurants, mobile food and coffee kiosks. Our points of service are convenient, flexible to the learning process and a value to your students.
Parkhurst is your dining service partner, working closely with you to understand your goals and the culture of your school. We will help you responsibly address the issues that are most concerning to you, while customizing a nourishing, farm-fresh and flavorful guest experience!

Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pa.
Lycoming’s decision to select Parkhurst was driven by our preference to partner with an organization that is relationship-oriented, responds to the unique needs of our campus character and culture, and is committed to enriching the lives of our students with food that is prepared fresh every day.
The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa
Parkhurst was unanimously chosen by the selection committee because they were the best fit, were able to show that they understood who we are and what we needed in a dining services partner. Parkhurst’s focus on high-quality, made-from-scratch food was the tipping point. Our students also viewed Parkhurst as the most student-centered of the firms.
Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia, Pa
“Parkhurst demonstrated the ability to provide a nutritionally sound, culturally diverse dining program that supported the unique needs of our exceptionally talented students,” said Elizabeth Warshawer, executive vice president, Curtis Institute of Music.
