Parkhurst Appoints Lachut and Weaver to Directors of Partnership Development

Parkhurst Dining is proud to announce the appointments of Suzie Lachut and Aaron Weaver to directors of partnership development. In their new roles, Ms. Lachut and Mr. Weaver will focus their efforts on strategic selling and will forge long-term partnerships with higher education clients who seek an authentic dining and catering experience.

Ms. Lachut joined Parkhurst in 2012 as a marketing manager where she has been instrumental in developing and designing promotions to foster engagement and grow sales throughout Parkhurst’s corporate dining and higher education dining locations. She has assisted with driving new business acquisitions and prospective client outreach through creative marketing strategies, including client presentations, targeted direct mail, email campaigns, and a trade show presence.

A graduate of Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Integrated Marketing Communications and a Master’s Degree in English, Ms. Lachut serves on the alumni advisory board for Duquesne’s McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts. She also serves on the board of directors for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and recently completed her board term for the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP).

A 20-plus year veteran of the on-site food service industry, Mr. Weaver brings a wealth of expertise in operations, retail, brand management, and sales. Most recently, he served as general manager of dining for Parkhurst at Washington and Jefferson College (Washington, PA), where he was responsible for multi-dining operations and catering.

One of his significant accomplishments was earning the highest student and client satisfaction dining scores in the school’s history for three consecutive years. Mr. Weaver also improved engagement scores among his team members by building highly effective avenues of communication between hourly associates and management. He attributes his success to empowering team members to immediately and personally address guests needs, all while delivering high-quality and unique dining experiences.

He was also instrumental in developing vendor partnerships with locally owned and operated suppliers including Gluten-Free on 5th. This partnership gives Parkhurst the ability to offer a variety of gluten-free entrées and baked goods, complementing the gluten-free menu items that Parkhurst offers to guests with Celiac disease.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts with an Associates Degree in Specialized Business, Mr. Weaver is a member of the Parkhurst President’s Advisory Council, which initiates, plans, develops, and implements policies to enhance client relations.
