Bucknell University's Flying Bison Mobile Culinary Vehicle Rolls Onto Campus

WHAT: Join us for an official ribbon cutting hosted by Bucknell University President John C. Bravman for Bucknell’s new “Flying Bison” mobile culinary truck, which rolls onto campus making its grand debut at the university on Wednesday, April 25. The Flying Bison is another convenient dining option offered by Parkhurst Dining Services, the university’s food service management provider since YEAR HERE, to students, faculty and staff.

Menu items are exclusive to The Flying Bison serving a variety of freshly prepared hot foods on the grill, sandwiches, soups made from stock and on the go items and beverages for breakfast, lunch and late night meals. According to David Freeland, Parkhurst Dining district manager, “We will specialize in menu items that are fresh, quick and convenient for students and faculty between classes. Our equipment – grills, fryers, refrigerators, also allows us the flexibility to offer more menu choices.”

Students will also enjoy local favorites such as the “Local Baked Pretzel Bun Breakfast Sandwich” topped with egg and grilled ham, to global cuisine featuring the Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork Wonton Taco topped with Nappa Cabbage Ginger Slaw. Menu items featured on the Flying Bison’s digital menu boards will rotate every two weeks and will be prepared by 2009 Buckenllian of the Year – Girard -__, a favorite cook among the campus community!

The Flying Bison is open for breakfast (7:30 – 9 a.m. near the Kenneth Langone Athletics Center) and lunch (11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. between Dana Engineering and Delta Epsilon) Monday through Friday. Look for the Flying Bison during “late night” hunger pangs on Friday and Saturday from midnight to 3 a.m. near Vedder Hall and Sixth Street for students returning from fraternities and downtown social events.

The Flying Bison will honor cash and BUID (both Dining Dollars and Campus Dollars).

WHEN: April 25, 2012; 4:30 p.m.
