Parkhurst Dining Sponsors Roll for a Cause 5th Annual Bike Run to Benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

WHAT:

Rolling into a city near you are Pittsburgh area’s top Harley drivers, donating their “drive” to the5th annual Caring for Kids Roll For A Cause Bike Run to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s Free Care Fund.
Sponsored by Parkhurst Dining Services, a division of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Inc., drivers, (Including Nick Camody, Chief Operating Officer, Onsite Brands, Eat'n Park Hospitality Group), donate $25 to ride; $15 per additional driver, for the privilege to participate in this worthy cause.
Roll For A Cause was incepted in 2006 when Camody, a faithful Harley driver, had a vision to create a charity ride that encourages area Harley owners to help fund-raise for children in need of proper medical care.  Today the event attracts more than 100 bikes with 140 riders and raises an average of $4,000 per event.  According to Camody, “I personally look forward to the event and coordinate our driving route.   Speaking on behalf of motorcycle enthusiasts, we are happy to donate our time and money to our region’s children.  It’s a great way to give back to the community, while enjoying a ride through scenic western Pennsylvania.”

Riders and spectators will have the opportunity to purchase chances to win several donated prizes.  Participants will also enjoy free entertainment, a classic car and truck show (starting at 2 pm) and a complimentary picnic-style cookout with delicious food, beverages and of course famous Eat’n Park Smiley Cookies donated by Eat’n Park Restaurants at Hot Metal Harley-Davidson in Mifflin, Pa.

Since 1979, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group’s Caring for Kids Campaign has raised more than $6 million for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and hundreds of thousands of dollars for other children’s hospitals throughout the company’s footprint.  Monies collected from the campaign stay in the communities where it was donated, making it a true locally and community-driven fundraiser.  For more details on Roll For A Cause, please contact Lenny DeMartino at ldemartino@parkhurstdining.com.
