Michaelle Buskey Appointed to Events Sales Manager, Special Venues

PITTSBURGH, Pa., July 5, 2011 – Parkhurst Dining Services recently announced the appointment of Michaelle Buskey to events sales manager, Special Venues.  This newly created catering division provides several levels of professionally executed special event catering for new and existing clients both at several Parkhurst-managed locations and at off-site premises.

According to Ms. Buskey, “Prior to joining the company, I had no idea about their enormous dedication to procuring fresh and locally grown food, and their commitment to using high- quality ingredients in made-from-scratch dishes. It’s difficult to find a caterer that can consistently execute such high standards.”  Parkhurst provides exclusive culinary services to a growing number of Pittsburgh’s cultural and historical venues, catering elegantly appointed wedding receptions, fundraising galas, private parties and celebrations.

Prior to joining Parkhurst Dining, Ms. Buskey was a lead management instructor for the Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she designed new and engaging curriculums, lesson plans and educational materials for the “Wine and Beverages”, “Advanced Wines” and “Tourism Management” classes.

Ms. Buskey also served in catering sales and marketing for The Circuit Center and Ballroom in Pittsburgh, an 8,000 square foot, multi-purpose venue; The Fluted Mushroom, a catering business; and Lidia’s Italian restaurant all of Pittsburgh.

Ms. Buskey also spent eight years in wine sales, including The Wine Merchant, Vintage Imports
and Southern Wine and Spirits, where she worked with core suppliers and created marketing
opportunities that increased sales and referral business.

Ms. Buskey holds an associate’s of science degree in advertising and public relations and a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.  Ms. Buskey resides in Pittsburgh.
