Parkhurst Dining Sponsors Roll For A Cause to Benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA, July 31, 2010 -- Rolling into a city near you are Pittsburgh area’s top Harley drivers, donating their “drive” to Roll For A Cause to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s Free Care Fund, a fund that was created to provide free and uncompensated care to families in need.  Sponsored by Parkhurst Dining Services, a division of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Inc., drivers, (including Chief Operating Officer Nick Camody), donate $25 to ride; $15 per additional driver, for the privilege to participate in this worthy cause.

Roll For A Cause was incepted in 2006 when Camody, a faithful Harley driver, had a vision to create a charity ride that encourages area Harley owners to help fundraise as a way to ensure our region’s children in need receive proper medical care.  Today the event attracts more than 100 bikes with 140 riders, and raises an average of $4,000 per event.  According to Camody, “I personally look forward to the event and coordinate our driving route.   Speaking on behalf of motorcycle enthusiasts, we are happy to donate our time and money to our region’s children.  It’s a great way to give back to the community, while enjoying a ride through scenic western Pa.”

Riders and spectators will have the opportunity to purchase chances to win several donated prizes.  Participants will also enjoy free entertainment and a complimentary picnic-style cookout with delicious food, beverages and of course famous Eat’n Park Smiley Cookies donated by Parkhurst Dining.
