Eat'n Park Hospitality Group Receives 2010 People Do Matter Award

PITTSBURGH, PA, June 3, 2010 -- Eat'n Park Hospitality Group received the 2010 “People Do Matter Award” presented by the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association. For over a decade the “People Do Matter Awards” recognizes regional employers that are implementing exceptional people practices. Whether they are attracting talent, training tomorrow's leaders or rethinking the way they organize work, the People Do Matter nominees have all demonstrated that investing in people is a key component of business success.

Eat’n Park received their award in the “Learning and Development” category for the Supervisor Certification Program, a leadership experience that has graduated over 200 hourly associates.  A collaborative effort between operations and training, Eat’n Park’s corporate training team, field and site managers work together to help mentor, coach and evaluate the supervisor’s assignments and progress.   Supervisors participate in over 25 hours of training and are required to pass a certification exam.  Supervisors who have graduated from the program help to support and strengthen our unit management teams, uphold our standards and enhance our guests’ experiences.

Eat’n Park was selected from an impressive group of finalists including; Development Dimensions International, Dollar Energy Fund, Inc., Duquesne University, Giant Eagle Market District, Legend Financial Advisor, Inc. and Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.
