Parkhurst Dining Serves Up New Dining Options

Parkhurst Dining is now on campus and operational as Duquesne’s official dining service provider. As part of this new partnership, delicious changes are coming to campus.

The Culinary Cab, a Parkhurst mobile restaurant/food truck, will make its late-night dining debut on Wednesday, Aug. 21, during Freshman Orientation. Offerings will include classic American street fare such as fish tacos, cheese steaks, gyros and Italian sausage sandwiches prepared fresh and to-order.

The Culinary Cab will operate Thursday through Saturday, from 9 p.m. to midnight, beginning Thursday, Aug. 22. Cash and credit cards will be accepted; Flex dollars will be added as a payment option before the start of the 2014 academic year. The campus community can follow the cab ontwitter and receive tweets about its location, which will change weekly.

The Coffee Tree Roasters will open in locations previously held by Java City in both Rockwell Hall and the law school, offering an array of flavorful, locally roasted coffees and quick, on-the-go food items.

In October, the Red Ring Bar and Grille will add patio seating and introduce a refreshed menu. National brand Freshens, known for its smoothies and frozen treats, will join the mix and occupy the former Jamba Juice space on Forbes Avenue.
